Backgrounder: International Travel Doesn’t Make Sense

Using previous public statements and publications, including ones most Calgarians would never see, it has become obvious there are different stories being told to different audiences.  In Calgary the claim is $25K to get millions into the system.  Internationally there is confirmation that there is a 15% finders fee and 22% taken off for administration.  When combined with other costs such as plant operations & ESL the “profitability” isn’t there.  There is nothing wrong with seeing value in bringing international students to Calgary but you have to own up to the costs and stop wasting money on international travel for three employees.
